I don't care if they are stock cars or full blown out race cars. As long as they are 928's it's all good. Also I think it would be great for owners to get to know the more sporty side of their 928. Just ask my wife, one track day and now I'm shopping for a 2 car trailer!
I will e-mail Lou Dauer at HVRPCA as he is our registrar but is stepping down this year but we will see if he can help.
what about Curt Hinchcliff I believe he is registrar for Niagra Region and a member here no? HEY CURT you out there?

We (the Austin 928 gang...LONG before there was a 928OC) piggy backed on a PCA DE event and had a GREAT time. Not everyone was doing the DE (though several were) and the others, along with the DE'ers did a few parade laps during lunch as well as an on-track static photo op!

I would highly recommend doing it that way.

The '04 OCIC had a track day at Hallett associated with it and that was Marc White's doing. He might have some ideas on how to organize that and a rough cost estimate.

If you want to do Auto-X you might have an SCCA group in the area that you can work with...

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head... Hope that helps a bit anyway!

The "Walter Mitty" at Road Atlanta might be an ideal candidate for a "shared" 928 event. Back in the day, for a very reasonable fee, you could run any safe street car at speed on the track. No passing except when you were clearly waved by on the straight, but you could let it hang out! I had a blast in a Jaguar XJ6...

I will try to see if that kind of thing is still possible. There may be similar events in other parts of the country.

So if piggy backed with a PCA region, how would it be structured or how would we merge it, would we have to buy a certain number of slots or maybe split the day with standard run groups or put all the 928's in one one group?
I would guess we would have to put some kind of feeler out there to see who in what areas would be willing to travel how far to attend which kind of event. My head is spinning already!
Which do you put first, finding the area, the venue or the participants?
Where's Marc White???

He has been available a bit, but his extra time is been taken up by 928 OC board considerations as of recently.
