Wanted Big Brakes

Hey 928 O.C. Members, Looking to upgrade My 80 928 to later model brakes S4/GT/GTS. I need used front and rear calipers (good working condition or rebuildable OK)to get started and possibly adapters and dust shields. I want to use new rotors unless I can find a set in good condition. Let Me know what You have. Thanks for reading My post, ndfrspd

what is wrong with the OEM brakes?

I drove a 82 at the 3rd coast event in Texas and that car could stop.....be even better with newer rubber.

Might be worth considering a fresh set of hi perf pads and new rubber........save on $$ and much r&r time........remember bigger brakes need bigger wheels.

Malcom, thanks for the reply. The calipers are dead front and rear (frozen) and rather than rebuild or replace I would like to update to bigger later style S4 or newer calipers. The car is already running later model 17 inch wheels. thanks again, ndfrspd

makes sense........928 Int are having a half price off all used parts $400 for a pair of front calipers

i have a friend that has one front caliper of a corvette. NEW and it looks just like a "big red".... ill see if he has the other and any other info on it. its been at his shop collecting dust.

aslo call LA dismantlers. got my 4 piston rears from them for cheap.

My 1980 5 speed 928 had brakes upgraded to S4 when i bought it. The car also has S4 tires and requires an S4 spare. Since it was that way when I bought it I can't make a comparison.

I can tell you that I love the stopping power of my machine.
