I don't recall anything being done while the cam covers were off, just a review of the chains and sprockets, but there was anything that jumped out as needing to be done.

Under the intake everything was replaced with new parts. My intent was to replace anything that might need replacing anytime soon. I did not spare any expense.

I have set the cam timing since, using the Porken tool.

thx stan....just curious as when I did the vc gskts I also replaced the chain guides. I did have new chains but decided they could wait.

I only vaguely recall a discussion about it, as it was 4 years ago. I have the paperwork, so it could be reviewed for the parts purchased, that would clarify any questions like this.
