But I think only those of us in Canada will get that reference. Showing our age too..:D

Installed new throttle cable and rebuilt/fixed lower engine oil cooler hose. The Beast runs again! Not great though. have to check timing and do some more assorted stuff before he's back on the road. Soon?

Today i decided to work on the sunroof.
It was not as hard as i thought it might be but that seems my opinion with most of the 928 task, ... after they are done.
Martins profile (here) has the best links and description
pulled it out and put it back in after some repairs and adjustments.
Ill put the details with pictures on my profile later tonight

Took the Shark to a friend who is a good suspension guy to work on lowering the front after putting Bilsteins on the front during the engine pull and installing new Bilsteins on the rear. I get it back in one week...!!! short considering the engine pull took 2 months...!

Washed it tonight. We've had about 10 inches of rain the past week in south Florida.

[Don't worry; It will pour tomorrow and the car will get dirty again~]

I changed the plugs about a week ago, and guess what? Seven of them were clean as can be, after 40,000 miles. Bosch Platinum WR8DP, which is a hotter plug than Porsche recommends, but I have the occasional rich running syndrome due to the MAF sensor connector fouling. Lately it hasn't done it much, but about 5 months ago I started to get the occasional hesitation again. Cleaning the MAF connector didn't work, and it got bad. When I pulled the plugs it was immediately obvious what was wrong; Number 6 cylinder is BADLY coked up with fluffy black stuff. I'm surprised the cylinder was firing at all! It is obvious that the injector on this cylinder is messed up. I'm going to pull them and have them cleaned. I had this done last in 2006, when I pulled the entire intake manifold off and replaced basically everything.

You of course understand that lowering a 928 will destroy your alignment, and cause the tires to wear VERY quickly?

What's more...a Porsche 928 cannot be properly aligned unless it has the correct ride height of 170 mm at each of the reference points. You knew that, yes?
