MAF calibration check - repair

Electronik Repair now offers calibration checking and repair for Porsche 928 Mass AirFlow meters (MAF).

All Porsche 928s [Euro/ROW 1984 - 1995 and US 1985 - 1995] use the same MAF. As the hot wire cycles through cleaning cycles and the circuits age, the calibration drifts - if it drifts too far the engine won't run properly.

Is there a way to tell if your MAF is getting close to needing something done before the car won't start??

I sent my computers and MAF off to be checked, better to know in advance...

I might have to do that this winter too...better to be safe than sorry. I realize that mine is almost 25 years old, but is this something that should be done periodically to keep things running right??
