was that a costly repair? i presume it was in terms of man hours... im estimating costs as im tempted to ask my mechanic to do something of the sort on my car, it has wicked gremlins (you know those fed after midnight type?) in there.

DESCRIPTION:
Just like the Engine Wiring Harness, we are seeing more and more 928 problems caused by old, cracked injector harness wiring and corroded or broken connectors. This new service from 928 Motorsports completely rebuilds your injector wiring harness from the firewall-forward, replacing all the wiring and connectors with new.

ADDED FEATURES:
Your wiring harness will come back to you with weather-tight Metri-Pak® connectors just past the firewall, so from now on you can remove the wiring harness with the engine by just un-plugging it near the firewall. Very convenient! Plus: there are extra open slots in our weather-tight connectors so you can add your own wiring for gauges and whatever you like.

EXACT REPLACEMENT:
Because we are rebuilding the injector wiring harness you send in - this harness will be an exact replacement for YOUR car. No guess-work. We have found and use the exact or improved OEM connectors in almost all cases. But a few connectors that are no longer available will be substituted for others of similar style. All connectors will function as before, and connect to your engine without modification.

Prices vary from $1350 to $1820 depending on year of the car and L-Jet or LH-Jet harness. I note that Stuttgart is already at 0 inventory on t he early L-Jet harness (928 612 013 02) and has discontinued the GTS harness (928 607 015 11)

Luckily my guy only charges 30/hr... but he spent a few hours on it for sure. At the time it was more of an outgrowth of troubleshooting no start when hot....just seemed like the best thing to do, ended up getting the new 14 pin connector at the same time. Solved a lot of issues and has been running electrically well ever since!
