Vibrating shake when you hit a bump

Malcolm,
THanks, the rack was leaking as well and I decided to get a rebuild from 928intl. I did see Roger's bushings and considered them.
The tires are relatively new, no real issues noticed outside of inner wear. I anticipate replacing them after the winter.
The shock is an interesting question, not since I have had the car, and I did hit a giant pot hole. But the problems started several months after hitting the hole.

My thought is wheel bearing or shocks.

Will install shocks tomorrow. Think this may be the issue. Feels more and more suspension related. Thanks for the advise.

So... I inspected the items suggested. All still look and feel in good shape.
While removing the entire assembly, I had a great view of the tie rods, ball joints upper and lower.
They are shot!
I am ordering the tie rods and lower ball joints. Question at this point is do I need to do the upper control arm as well. This adds about 600 deer to the overall process plus spring/strut removal.
I am inclined to forego the upper and just do the lower and tie rods. Any advise?

Today I removed the tie rods and the steering rack. Photos attached. I ordered replacements for both. Photos will help to illustrate a bad set of bushings and leaking rack for future issues.
Removal took me about 2 hours. The 17mm bolts were the worst due to the nut on the lower half and the bolt in a tight spot above the rack.
Will let you know when I get it put together again.
Thanks to everyone for your help.
