What I do is I but a 2x4 on my floor jack and jack up the front.
there is a beam in front of the rad (be careful)
then I put stands under the front
Then I jack up the rear by lifting between the diff and trans and put stands under the sides.

which "under tray" do I need to remove to access the oil filter?
Apparently there are two front undertrays from the pics I saw on the web.
Thanks in advance.

Thr front tray has to come off but I remove both as they're bolted together.

I dont know how youd get them off without a pit or lifting.......theres not enough clearnace.

I concur I can't change the oil filter without raising the car.
I might try the "Race Ramps" to get clearance.
Thanks again for your input.

You would have to be pretty small to fit under the front end without lifting. I'm small and can't even come close. Ramps are your best bet if you don't have access to a pit.

 Is there some kind of well kept secret as to why a 928 shouldn't be jacked up now?

Or did someone make a bet while drunk that they can change the oil in an ultra low exotic car without using a jack?

It is ok to jack up your car, mine is on stands right now.
