How much should it cost to replace a steering rack on a 88 S4.Does it make sense to go new?Where can I get it done at a reasonable price with excellent workmanship. I live in 25443 near Hagerstown Maryland.

Hello Bill,
I've had several steering racks rebuilt in my 928s, my shop has a company in town (Phoenix, Arizona) that rebuilds them. If you deal with a Porsche shop they probably know of a service local to you as the steering racks are similar among German cars.
