The 928 Owners Club is announcing a new tool that has been added to the long standing tool loaning program. This tool is the renowned Bosch Hammer!! IF you have a later model car that was compatible for using this 'official' tool for analysis of engine etc. problems, this can be invaluable. Unique circumstances made it possible for the Owners Club to include this tool in our 'tool box'.
Ed Standke, the 928 OC 'Tool Keeper' has this Bosch Hammer available to borrow for any 928 Owners Club member's personal use. To 'borrow' the tool, a $1500 deposit to 928 OC Treasurer via PayPal is required (Treasurer@928OC.org is account name). The deposit is refunded AFTER the borrower has returned the tool and cables IN EXACTLY THE SAME CONDITION they were when Ed sent them out, and has paid Ed for the shipping costs to the borrowers residence (as well as shipping costs back to Ed). Any damage to any portion of the tool will be repaired, and that cost will be deducted from the deposit. IF the tool is not repairable, the full $1329 will be kept by 928 OC.
This is a great tool for those cars on which it is usable.
