Hey Jerry,
I don't think the timing was such that you could have included this event notice in the first issue anyway. I plan the event based on the level of interest and this year we got a late start. Because I am working with OC sponsorship this time, I do feel an obligation to create and deliver some forum "content" that can be viewed by all those who contributed via club dues. We will make an extra effort to document the event this year.
I will edit my OP and include my e-mail address for potential attendees.
An observation: The events forum is in the members only area. Growing event attendance means reaching out to non members, but they can't see my announcement. Is there a reason for the placement of the events forum? If so, should I also post the announcement in the open forums?
And finally, awesome job on the news letter!!!!
thanks,
Tass

While it is up to the current members, and forum administrator, to consider changes that might be desired or appropriate, the "Event Discussion" forum was intend to discuss events, such as organizational efforts.
The Calendar ( forums.928oc.org/vbulletin/calendar.php ) is where notices of events should be placed, with pertinent information for prospective attendees, and is available to all registered users (not just members).
The thought process was that anyone could go to the calendar to see what is going on soon, or in the future, then in the post find the needed information about the event. A link to the event discussion could be included in that post for members to find a discussion about the event (if there was a discussion).
Hopefully this helps explain how the forum was intended to be used, as well as the calendar.

We passed the 30 car mark today
If anyone is planning on coming but has not contacted me yet, please drop me a note. Some parts of my planning efforts depend on a resonably accurate head count.
Thanks all !

The souvenir tech session mugs cam in today and I think they look great. They have the club logo on one side and a 928 logo on the other.
Come to Wilbraham and grab one !
PS.... A big thank you to Betsy Andrade for facilitating the mug purchase. She made it VERY easy.
