1983 928S for sale was created by mm928
Hello all - I was a very active member up until retirement and moving. In the new place I do not have the room, will or garage, to handle keeping my Shark up or improving it more. I have attached the sale sheet with most particulars. One thing that most old ones do not have is a full proper original color paint job, which I do have. I also have a replacement blue leather interior in most areas. It runs like a sewing machine, and always has. Had it since 2011 so at least 2 owners (probably 3) but as usual there are some things still to do. But all major things are pretty much in place. Many in this club have seen it in person at our NC and Va outings, and now it looks even better. I would like someone to enjoy it that is an enthusiast, not a car flipper, so I am advertising in the PCA clubs and this club for now. Asking 18k - I have liftbars to go along with it.
Please feel free to pass it on if know know someone who might not want to start from scratch on one and can drive it day 1.
Issues remaining -
A/C and heat works, but its all on or all off.
I did purchase a refurbish unit but the slider only provides all heat or all A/C, which actually works fine depending on time of year - and A/C needs a recharge.
Central locking - was working before the painters got a hold of it
Windshield washers - there are there just disconnected right now
Aftermarket radio not working (likely a fuse)
Rear passenger running light in rear is out
I have sealed the sunroof off, I don't like it and preferred not to have deal with potential leaks on something I do not use. It is still intact and could be put back into service if desired,
Missing wheel well baffles, hard to find,,,just left them off
I believe there is a small leak on the bottom of the passenger side rear teardrop side window.
It does not leak unless the car is not parked flat. Probably need to get that and the other one some new rubber gaskets
Really thats about all I can think of right now - I do miss the guys in the club and trips to the mountains, love the car, but need to move on from it.
OH - and the picture on the Sale sheet is from BEFORE the new paint. I added a recent picture of how it looks today to this post
