Tool Loan Program - Sir Tools B90 was created by JBT3
Hi Team - I need to do the rear wheel bearings on my GT. Does the Club have a B90 tool to loan out? Who do I talk to about that?
Thanks

Sorry, don't have that tool. As I recall when we replaced them on my 928 S4, we used a 2 ton press.

Took mine to a local machine shop. It was so minor to them they didn't charge me for it.

The B90 tool makes relatively short work of the rear wheel bearings swap, and leaves all the suspension and carrier pieces in place on the car. Saves more than a bit of work. I have the kit, and it's available to use here, but hasn't survived shipping well. I had it well packed, but the last time it came back it was just in a thin carboard box. The gorillas were pretty tough on it, and a bunch of the internals in the case were fractured. If you happen to be in central Oregon, you are more than welcome to use it. I have a large workbay with a lift, and the rest of the tools are here for the work. PM if that interest anybody.

Thanks so much for the generous offer, but I'm on the wrong coast. I found a used kit for sale on ebay and snagged it. It is supposedly the Porsche specific kit (not the full B90)), so hopefully it has all of the components I need.
As an aside, I think it was your posts (along with Bill Ball) many moons ago on Rennlist about using the B90 that pointed me in this direction. Thanks for that as well.
