928 Water Pump Timing Belt Time Estimate

I have a 1982 928 and need to do the water pump and timing belt. How much time should i set aside for this job? I have done multiple belts before, but not on a porsche. Do you often have problems such as sheared bolts, or are they fairly straight forward? Thanks for any tips, greatly appreciate it!

There are lots of gotchas in this job, from sheared water pump bolts to setting the cam sprockets. I strongly encourage you to check out rennlist 928 forum where there is a ton of information on this job, with excellent tutorials. If you are going o replace your water pump, you also must be sure to not buy a rebuilt, and get one only with the plastic impellor. Again, excellent and in depth information on rennlist for this.
