Arm Rest Backing Support Kit

Does anyone have any experience with an "arm rest backing support kit"? I saw this on 928 International's website. The caption states that "These supports attach to the back side of your arm rest and are a great alternative to replacing those costly arm rests."

The reason I ask is because the far right side of my passenger side arm rest has come away from the door. There is an inner plastic piece inside that is broken. I haven't done anything to it because it looks like the only thing I can do is replace the entire armrest.

So I am wondering if this armrest support is the solution.

The support kit works great! After fitting this kit, you will no longer wonder if you are going to pull the door panel off on the ground while shutting the door.

I have installed one on both sides - great fit, massive improvement. Thera are some other things you can do too - reinforce the front mount in the air plenum with JB weld and a large fender washer, add more self tapper's to secure the door pocket top straight.
