Went with Adam to see the car - it was about $5K in parts away from being worth the $7k the guy was asking. I opened the tool tray and he was surprised - had never seen it in 10 years of owning the car! It was missing the tow hook. He had no idea it needs one or where it goes. He still had the washer fluid for the intensive washer but didn't know about the washer, etc.

It was an interesting outing to see an 86.5 tho - a first for me. Almost the only leather was on the seats - very different than my car.

I have seen many such cars. If it interests me at a price, I let the owner know, in case they decide they need to get rid of it. More often than not, they get tired of dealing with prospective buyers that have no clue, and take me up on my offer
