James I don't the spec but I have heard that as far as land mass goes that Canada is larger then the USA.

Now I do not know if that is the USA and Alaska
but I am sure that it must be Canada and the NWT is bigger then the mass south of us.

Russia is 17 mil sq miles

And you guys have fewer folks that we do by a HUGE margin... What 310 million down here and 30ish Million Canadians? How many Russian's are there? Something between the two of us I guess. Anyway, LOTS of unused land mass FOR SURE! Makes you wonder why folks think this good earth can only handle 8 or 9 billion people if the current population is 6 billion???? Heck I would think you could fit another 6 billion in the unused parts of Russia alone! Not that anyone would want to live there or that they could support it, but there is enough space for sure!

James: You know how Texans like to think their state is big? Well, my province, Ontario, is 1.6x larger! That said, you can't drive in much of it.

Martin, I have looked at a map (I love them...vs. most Americans who are lucky to even KNOW Canada is to our North and Mexico to our South) and am always in awe when I try to fathom just how BIG Canada is and how FEW people live there...that said, I understand WHY so few live up there (who wants to deal with your Winters after all)! You guys have more Wilderness than we do by many, many times I am sure! Like you said, you have places so remote you can't even GET TO THEM!
