Original radio? was created by ringnalda
Hi All, I ran the VIN decoder for my 1994 GTS 5 speed, and one of the codes was for a Blaupunkt Bremen RCM42 radio. Is that the correct type and code? I can find Bremen SQR49 but nowhere a Bremen RCM42. But then I couldn't find a 5 speed GTS for ever either... B)

Cheers, Jan

I can't actually verify the original radio, but I would be very surprised if the VIN decoder were wrong.

Call Tom @ 928 International. They may have one. I would start my search there if you haven't already.

The Bremen SQR 46 was fitted from '86-'88 ( www.radiomuseum.org/r/blaupunkt_bremen_sqr_46_7646898010.html ) and is a very different radio than the RCM42 or RCM 43 as you may know. Note the Bremen's have European radio bands that won't work in North America. Are you in Europe?

BTW, I can only find reference to the RCM 43 - the last digit is the year (i.e. '93), which is what I would expect in your '94.
