Ended up having to spend the long dollar on the tensioner kit...cause I have no idea what's going on with them and I want the car back.
Anyway...I need a set of wheels for the car. I'm not sure how big I can go without altering the wheel wells. Will 17" or 18" work. If someone has some they are looking to sell...please let me know

Who do you thing will know them the best Stan.
As far as the wheels go, 17 and 18 will fit.
I have 17 and find them to be large enough.
There is a wheel guide some where and maybe someone else knows where it is and can post a link. I am at work and do not have time to hunt.
Try a wheel guild search on here first.

I emailed David Roberts of 928 Specialists when I saw the post this morning.

At this point I don't think 19" gains you ANYTHING and I am not a big fan of them right now...

On the wheel thing I don't really understand what I should be running in terms of offset. I'm only going to run some twisties and cruise ... Have no idea what suspension is in the car. Is there a standard? I'd like to run 18, 's if I can when you refer to offset do you mean the diff in size front to back?

If the number is not right the wheel sticks out to far and if the suspension is fully compressed the tire will crunch the fender (up front) in back you get rubbing if the wheel is to far inboard and you get rubbing if it is to far outboard.
That said, most any narrow body 997 or 996 wheel or Boxster/Cayman wheel will fit on a 928... So if they fit those cars the chances are VERY GOOD they will fit a 928.
