Body shops in lower ny?

Hi All:


I'll be looking into restoring the paint or repainting my car at the end of the year. Any leads to respectable and reasonable body shops etc would be greatly appreciated.

from initial inspection i may not have to do much in the way of body work, but for the driver's door having a small rust bubble under the paint by the molding and the front bumper needing a bit of filling on the corners. i may have to get a new spoiler if the current one cant be satisfactorily repaired as its cracked on the driver side corner.

Not sure of who to recommend in your area. If you can't find/trust anyone in your area, I'd be happy to assist.

You might consider vinyl wraps if there is something REALLY close to your color. SOOOO much cheaper than a repaint and lasts years and years if properly cared for!

wish that i lived close enough to more members! after the projects i've seen many of you post i would feel very comfortable taking it over for work to be done.

James, recently i saw a youtube clip on vinyl wraps. very cool process indeed! once im ready for the work, i'll be looking into my options. hopefully other members in the area will respond.

Not sure where you are (I don't know NY at all) but Michael Rubin is our main man in the NYC area... You should go look on the front page of the 928OC webside ( www.928oc.org ) and click on "information" and then "regional contacts" and look for folks in NY to contact there. Then see about hooking up with others in your area...
