Italeri Releases Three Legendary Porsches From Its TopCars Collection

Edison, NJ. Porsche purists will appreciate Italeri’s three, 1/24 scale Porsche icons. Porsche 911 Turbo (#553675); Porsche 944S (#553659); Porsche 928 S4 (#553656). Leading the trio of kits is the 911 Turbo, perhaps the best known sports coupe in the world. Introduced in 1975 with a 2994cc engine, Italeri has captured the original with 84 precision parts featuring molded-in color, real rubber tires and gleaming chromed wheels. The silhouette is spot on with wide wheel arches to accommodate the large tires and the well known rear “Whale Tail” spoiler. The rear engine compartment cover opens to reveal a detailed engine so authentic you can almost feel the exhilarating acceleration. From its rack and pinion steering to a faithfully reproduced instrument panel and interior detail, this kit raises the bar on accuracy.

But more importantly, it has the wrong engine for an S4 - at least a NA S4. If there had been an S4 in '86 that would have been the engine as it is in the S3 ('86.5)
